![]() . PPA keeps pressure on Congress after Black Friday Tuesday, April 26, 2011 By Steve Ruddock The Poker Players Alliance (PPA) is keeping the pressure on Congress thanks to their 1 million plus members sending Congress a blitz of E-Mails, letters and phone calls. To make sure that the poker community does not become complacent, the PPA has just sent out another E-Mail urging their members to keep fighting for online poker in the United States. "Dear PPA Member, Thank you Poker Players Alliance members! A mere eleven days have passed since "Black Friday" and in that time more than 70,000 emails have been sent through our system to Congress, president Obama and Attorney General Holder. Your PPA continues to work around the clock to ensure that your concerns are being heard by lawmakers and we appreciate all you are doing to protect your poker rights. I also want to share with you several excellent articles about the PPA's grassroots efforts. The articles nicely explain why we are fighting, how we're impacted and why licensing and regulation of online poker is the smart move. I have also included my op-ed that ran in the Washington Post on Sunday. Your efforts are making the difference in winning the war on poker, and we can't stop now. I urge you to continue to stay active and help the PPA secure a safe, regulated online poker industry in the United States." As the fight goes on, and the players that have been barred from PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker look for new poker rooms. Labels: ppa |
